Microsoft have still got quite a way to go but they are getting there, well done Microsoft they have made the GUI more user friendly, I especially like the re-designed start menu, the NT/XP Domain style login is on by default, if you tell it to use the welcome screen it shows the Windows XP one so that is obviously why they don't have it automatically enabled.Ī slighly annoying bug is the fact that only a maximum of 50 files are shown in a folder (especially annoying if you are trying to look at the system32 folder)Īnyway this is day one almost over and it seems to work well and be much more stable than the other versions, hardware support has been improved and network cards & wireless networks now seem to be working properly. Ok everyone, I have finally got longhorn 5048 installed (and activated) the installation went smoothly and quickly (25 mins) I had no problem with it what so ever, my first impressions of 5048 are thats it's very nice, the memory leak seems to have disapeared, but as said below Nero 6 doesn't seem to want to recognise CD-RW drives on it. Hi, I just thought as there's a LH4074 experience post it would probably be a good idea to start a LH 5048 experience post If you want to post on 4074, please visit this thread:
